Shane Van Beest Appointed as Head Coach Ahead of 2025 Season

The South Brisbane Wolves are proud to announce Shane Van Beest as the new Head Coach of the Premier Women’s Team ahead of the 2025 Premier Volleyball League season.

Shane brings a wealth of coaching experience and a passion for developing high-performance athletes, making him an exciting addition to the Wolves’ coaching staff. Known for his strategic mind, strong leadership, and ability to bring the best out of his players, Shane is set to take the Wolves’ women’s program to the next level.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Shane into the Wolves family,” said Club President Cameron Gore. “His vision, professionalism, and energy are exactly what our Premier Women’s team needs as we continue to build a strong and sustainable women’s program.”

Shane has been a familiar face on the Queensland volleyball scene for many years, coaching at both junior and senior levels. He brings not only technical expertise but also a strong focus on culture, growth, and team unity—values that align perfectly with the Wolves' commitment to excellence both on and off the court.

“I’m excited to be part of this new chapter with the Wolves,” said Shane. “There’s a great group of athletes here, and I’m looking forward to helping them develop individually and as a team. The energy around this club is something special.”

The appointment comes at a time of growth and momentum for the Wolves’ women’s program, following a successful return to the Premier Division in 2024. With Shane at the helm, the club is confident in building on that foundation and pushing further into contention in the seasons ahead.

The Wolves look forward to a strong campaign in 2025 under Shane’s leadership—and can’t wait to see the Premier Women’s team thrive with fresh direction and ambition.
